Maybe they're trying to make it easier for people who have suffered genuine breaches of privacy. Imagine someone who'se ex. posts sexually explicit content recorded without their knowledge, ... isn't that what revenge porn is? That kind of thing. I guess there needs to be a way to take that down quickly and efficiently. And convincing deep fakes are coming soon, ... so people won't even need sexually explicit material recorded covertly, they can just make it up after the event, ... The problem is not with the mechanics of social media, it is a problem with their business models based on ad clicks. It can never be fixed no matter how much they spend on administration staff, AI or whatever. The basic idea of trying to make money from people's personal communication is stupid.
