It's the symmetry of the balance from two almost completely different points of view that is striking. I can see how you could use that as a guiding premise to develop the series. You would be able to let it fall one way or another and then then "right, we're in this place now, how are we going to bring it back into equilibrium?" And maybe you could even apply that principle to "subplots" with different relationships and it would be like making a braid of different threads. Back to the three fates and weaving and spinning again, ...
