Putin Launches Large Scale Nuclear Drills

Russian President Vladimir Putin launched strategic drills on Saturday, and is following the exercises from the situation center in Moscow, along with Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko.

More videos have been shared by Russia's defence ministry showing nuclear drills that it said are planned strategic deterrents.

President Vladimir Putin's government has made a point of developing several advanced missiles in a new arms race with the West

The timing of the exercises, which coincides with the peak of Russia's months-long build up of conventional forces on the Ukrainian border, will be widely interpreted in the West as a deliberate warning to Nato not to intervene if an invasion goes ahead.

That this coincides with the peak of Russia's military build up on the Ukrainian border is questionable. It seems to be based on the UK Ministry of Defence's secret intelligence: US Secretary of State Blinken Claiming To Possess Secret Intelligence About An Amazingly Wide Range of Options Russia Has to Conduct A False Flag Operation as a Pretext to Invade Ukraine.

Using Pipewire to Make A Music Synthesizer

Usually you don't notice, but if you play a pure sine tone then you can easily hear the distortion. If you want to play with pipewire from C on Ubuntu 24.04 then it's really easy. The pipewire tutorials and examples can be compiled and run if you just first install the pipewire-0.3-dev package with sudo apt install libpipewire-0.3-dev But the API is sooo far away from pluggable, typed streams that I find it quite depressing.
