1:09 That's an interesting way to put the problem. It made me think think about the kind of spreadsheet you could produce which showed the consequences of this. For instance the power requirements to affect the acceleration of different masses to that velocity, and the air resistance losses involved, etc etc.

Using Pipewire to Make A Music Synthesizer

Usually you don't notice, but if you play a pure sine tone then you can easily hear the distortion. If you want to play with pipewire from C on Ubuntu 24.04 then it's really easy. The pipewire tutorials and examples can be compiled and run if you just first install the pipewire-0.3-dev package with sudo apt install libpipewire-0.3-dev But the API is sooo far away from pluggable, typed streams that I find it quite depressing.
