When you hack someone's account, don't do anything except regularly download all their Google takeout data, ... and then, if they're someone like me, you can completely destroy their life, unless they already deliberately did that themselves a la Forrest Gump's self-defense strategy. But seriously, the whole Android stack is one of the most retarded things I've ever used. It's like a bad 4th grade computer project. Google gboard is great with Google apps, but if you try to use it with, say, https://maps.me , then it is so slow that it is practically useless. There is a 500ms or so delay between your pressing a key and it getting into the maps.me text field. The FUTO Fellowship experience: James Torre on self-justifying axiom systems. See the JSL paper  Self-Verifying Axiom Systems, the Incompleteness Theorem and Related Reflection Principles  by Dan Willard. Also his 2013 preprint  On the Significance of Self-Justifying Axiom Systems from the Perspective of Analytic Tableaux . The idea is that by choosing a less expressive model than PA you can avoid the consequences of Gödel's Second Incompleteness Theorem. I think the far more important point he makes (at 17:21 ) is that any judgement of correctness of a description system is ultimately based on actual knowledge of some (presumably observable) physical property. When they start developing the encrypted backup solution I hope they take into account that people need encrypted distributed backups for more than just the photos in their photo sharing server. I would also like to know more about how they manage sharing of content. That again is something that is a very general project. I wrote that before I heard the bit at 27:32 about federated cross-instance albums and sharing. Two days ago FUTO gave a microgrant to Peergos and mentioned that they'e working on an Immich plugin. 3:45 "Leave a comment or send us an email". I'd prefer to send tem an email, but I can't find their email address. It's not on their YT channel page , nor is it on their web site , AFAICS. It does configuration by WebUSB to download the firmware onto the modules, but I'm sure that's all encrypted too.
