But someone just asked me, in all seriousness, whether I thought the world was now ready to see a video of Hilary Clinton slicing off a young child's face. I have come across references to something like this more than once, so there definitely are a number of people out there who take seriously claims that some sort of diabolical cult of child-mutilating-and-murdering people who are well-known public figures, exists and has some significant influence in the public sphere. You would think that merely the existence of people who believe this group exists would be enough of a motive to develop secure communications technology, wouldn't you?
