The French are really into African music. See Bandsplaining New Guitar Music From The Sahara I think I first heard this blasting out of a car in Paris! I have a recollection that I described this song to Sarah in words, while we were in Pakistan I think, and she knew what I meant and told me the name of the song, and when I got back to the UK a year later, I found a copy of the album and lo, she was right! While were in Pakistan the Berlin Wall came down and we heard about it on the BBC World Service in a tent over a glacier high up in the foothills of the Karakoram mountains. See Ali Farka Touré.

So it looks like El Cielo of the cistine [sic!😂] chapel is not the limit anymore.  I think I just met one of his descendents. A guy called Versailles Toledo who is from Chiapas. That might explain the murals I mention in my recent untitled post , just before the post mentioning this video. I also just took this photo of Rafael Gonzales, born here in Tecate, B.C., who told me about a spring near here called Agua Fría , half way from Tecate to Loma Tova , where, a few decades ago, people used to go to have barbecues and stuff, but now he thinks it may be private land.
