ABC News - What is π Day?

π is the ratio of any circle's circumference (the lenth of it's edge) to its diameter (the distance in a straight line from a point on one side of the circle to the opposite point). However big or small the circle may be, this ratio (the first length divided by the second length) is always around 3.14 so March 14 is π Day.

Why celebrate π? Because if it weren't for this constant, circles would be all wonky!
