Extended interview at Art Basel in Miami Beach. Here he talks about functionality, which he doesn't mention in his comments above about An Oak Tree. 17:50 he draws with electronic circuit etch-resistant masking tape but he's not above using projectors to create installations. He once painted the entire exterior of a gallery with the most expensive acrylic paint available.
Michael Craig-Martin was at Yale in the early sixties and studied under Josef Albers (47:47).
He also has a classy web-site: https://www.michaelcraigmartin.co.uk/
