I remember someone on the goodson mailing list quoting Nick Cave as having said something like "It's scary how much they know". I wondered whether he was talking about the lengthy discussions people on that list didn't have about Paradise Lost and Kant's Critique of pure Reason ... or just alpha males arguing about whether Americans would ever use the word lorry to refer to a truck. I quite enjoyed Nick's book And The Ass Saw The Angel. I'd like to read it again.

My mother referred again yesterday to something my daughter wrote when I was in the hospital in Panama, hallucinating and starving. It was "... he is his own vibrant self again". My mother thinks that it was because my daughter had been in contact with Dra Campbell and had sent some money to me. How did either of them know I was my own vibrant self? Maybe the problem is that my daughter is too busy at work to spend time reading what I write. But I don't know where she works. I don't know anything about her life at all. I know she once did some great art. A Cheshire Cat lino cut and a christmouse, ... So she seems to be talented. Is her work giving her the opportunity to use those talents?
