Project Paradise - Everything Feels "Off"

In New Zealand for about NZ$250 a day you can hire a van with a wood-burning stove. That's good in mid-winter!

There was something I was thinking about this morning, ... after seeing some reports about the world's cocaine consumption being at a record high, and Germany being the gateway for Europe's supply of illegal drugs, and about the narco wars going on in Mexico and Colombia, and how these are all principally because of the value of drugs. Illegal drugs are worth more than money, otherwise people wouldn't spend money on getting them, would they? That's what's "off" if you ask me: there is so much money around that it doesn't really mean anything, but the governments are all pushing people to earn more money, because that's what they need to have a "healthy" economy.

And as to John Muir: if the woolly locusts hadn't eaten everything in that landscape he'd be in a forest half-way up that mountain, dancing bollock-naked around a huge bonfire he'd lit!
