When videoing yourself improv dancing lends itself to an artsy film. 

This is draft 1. I'm not sold on all the words and titles I chose but I do like this version. It's good enough.

It makes me want to dance all over again.

Its slow. It asks me to pause.

I met Lana Del Rey on my Birthday in 2020:

That was directed and filmed by her sister Chuck, I think, and it all seemed like a wide-open invitation to collaborate. I tried, I really did, and I think I did OK, all told. And it definitely did me a lot of good, self-esteem-wise!


I want to connect these two superficially quite different views of human consciousness. One is the Western Philosophical tradition and the other is the Native American tradition.

The Western Philosophical tradition is described by John Searle in this lecture given in 2012:

The time I really felt it was working was when I saw this, ...  It was a brilliant little short she made in September 2020 with her brother, and it included the line "... before you fucking left". Unfortunately I can't find it now, but this'll do instead: Lana Del Rey recites T.S.Eliot's "Burnt Norton".  No wait, here it is:

Using Pipewire to Make A Music Synthesizer

Usually you don't notice, but if you play a pure sine tone then you can easily hear the distortion. If you want to play with pipewire from C on Ubuntu 24.04 then it's really easy. The pipewire tutorials and examples can be compiled and run if you just first install the pipewire-0.3-dev package with sudo apt install libpipewire-0.3-dev But the API is sooo far away from pluggable, typed streams that I find it quite depressing.
