Yes, but I still think we could have just got on with doing good stuff to enable the people to take it back. It wasn't much that we needed, was it? Well, it was a bit much for one person to do on their own, ... but you know, if we each did a little bit that looked like it was kind of going in the right direction, ... Ah, but the problem is getting money. In order to do that positive, creative stuff, you have to get money somehow and whatever you do, you end up feeding the thing you're trying to replace. So maybe you need a secret society ...

I also just took this photo of Rafael Gonzales, born here in Tecate, B.C., who told me about a spring near here called Agua Fría , half way from Tecate to Loma Tova , where, a few decades ago, people used to go to have barbecues and stuff, but now he thinks it may be private land.
