Only 17 people crossed the Darién in June and July 2025

Google maps has severely reduced the resolution of the images to the point that you can no longer see any infrastructure on the ground. That last point is the location of Bajo Chiquito which was the first reception point in Panamá.

People are returning from Panamá to Colombia by boat. They then have to cross the Chocó overland because the boat trip across the gulf to Necoclí is too expensive, so they need help from the people in Juradó and Bahia Solano on the Pacific coast. I don't know how they got to Jaque!
