The talk about Pando reminded me of Percy Harrison Fawcett and that prompted me to look up the film "The Lost City of Z" which was released in September 2016. It was based on David Grann's book, published in 2009. The film rights were bought by Plan B Entertainment even before the book was published. Filming was done in Colombia.
