See The Action Lab - Branched Flow. I'm sure the Astrophysicists claim to take all these things into account, but they would have a heck of a job convincing me of that. The chain of inference is way beyond my own mathematical abilities to even follow, let alone to critique. Now I'm sure some people think I should just take their word for it,... Is that science?
