David Lynch's Weather Report

See my comment:

Good morning David. You reminded me of a painting by William Blake, and then the song America by London Grammar: https://youtu.be/GEVYuoGnlVA Have a great day.

That made me think of William Blake's The Great Red Dragon and the Woman Clothed With Sun

I remember reading Bryan Magee's biography in which he claims that it's impossible to do philosophy without discussing it with others. That was my problem! In the end I had to imagine my conversations, so no wonder my writing became schizophrenic! In his opening Magee talks about the greatest living philosophers, ... Well, that depends upon what you mean by living, and philosopher, I suppose. But I would have no problem with saying that I think John Searle is the greatest living philosopher.

David is a real movie director, I'm just play-acting. I need his help. See What is the Sixth Estate? which I wrote on Thursday, 17 April 2014 more out of necessity rather than any particular desire:

... She decided to go to Bolivia, climb some of the prettier mountains, and try to write a book about Computer Science that would be an enjoyable read for those long-suffering students she had been teaching.

And that's just what she did. But the book was far too long and boring, and it didn't contain even one single original idea! So instead, she had the idea of making a film called The Sixth Estate - the Foundation: a real film, about real events, because as they say, truth is stranger than fiction: and you certainly could not make this stuff up! Of course, this wasn't an original idea either, it came from the film The Fifth Estate.

And I almost forgot about Mel Brooks! Happy birthday Mel! Mel Brooks gave David one of his big breaks, just as Satish Kumar and Peter Landshoff gave me my big breaks.
